Conceptual framework

for liberation

The following approaches and methodologies guide our work:

gender perspective

We look at reality taking into account the gender relations that are reproduced at different levels of culture. We seek to transform relationships through specific projects that promote equity, social justice, diversity, democratic participation and solidary coexistence.

popular education

We recognize life experience as a valuable source of knowledge and learning; we promote peer education and critical and liberating thinking. We encourage the use of participatory techniques for reflection, decision making and power building. We understand that learning is mutual between the facilitator and the participant, and that it is an active and constantly developing process.

health approach

We recognize the right to health of all people. We promote healthy and violence-free environments. We defend access to services, informed decision-making  and self-care. We work for a better quality of life  for our communities that considers economic, cultural, and environmental aspects as social determinants of health.

transdisciplinary work

We use an approach that combines various disciplines  transversally to deepen critical thinking and generate fair alternatives.

intergenerational work

We facilitate the construction of bridges that allow the exchange of knowledge between generations to strengthen the essential social capital for a fair and inclusive future.

emancipatory work

We work consciously and in opposition to all forms of oppression and violence. We promote reflection on the use and abuse of power and propose spaces for participation and justice.

permanent dialogue

We promote open, sustained and judgment-free communication channels as a core element of our service model.

Use of art, play and recreation

We believe that through art, games and recreation we can foster transformative experiences that promote learning, develop new behavior benchmarks and  reinforce values of well-being and justice.
